We work with employers as they seek out and snag talent in the tumultuous new-millennium talent marketplace. We work with them on their recruitment processes, on their employer branding and talent-acquisition strategies, and on retention and organizational design.
Liz Ryan is a natural person to be leading organizational-change efforts; Liz was a Fortune 500 HR leader for ten million years before launching Ask Liz Ryan. Liz speaks to HR and CEO groups around the U.S. and abroad, and writes HR-and-leadership advice articles for Business Week Online, Kiplinger’s Finance and many other publications. Ask Liz an HR or leadership question, here, and read the questions others have posted.
Here are three quick stories about projects we’ve tackled:
- The new owners of a 50-year-old manufacturing business needed to radically revamp the operation and increase sales without alienating the long-term employees. We helped them get there, doubling sales in one year.
- A healthcare organization was looking at management assignments and career paths, and got our help opening up lines of communication and strengthening the team with the talent-deployment exercise as a catalyst. (In plain English, we talked to a bunch of people, digested what we heard, gave it back to the leadership team in a set of action items and ‘please stop doing this’ items and resolved five or six long-simmering conflicts. The organization is faster and more profitable now than it was when we arrived.)
- We re-branded a technology firm’s recruiting message to bring it into line with its Facebook-using, work-and-life-balance-attuned talent population.
